Welcome to my piece of vanity publishing.
When I first had to do a web page for a course,
all I could think of was to put together some links
on things I liked and that interested me. Since then,
quite a lot of people have looked at my thoughts on
using chat on a website as a means of exchanging information,
and adding my family trees has attracted the attention
of some long-lost cousins .
Recently, hearing someone say they'd looked at the
site made me realise that was more than I'd done for
a while, and when I did I saw it in a new light. I
knew I was - to put it mildly - unversed in graphic
design (I know what I like and I think I understand
why I like it, but don't have the imagination, skill
or patience to create). More embarrassing, the content
was - is - more than a bit thin and disjointed. The
curse of the personal homepage - more about this in
my thoughts on blogging
(which I've just updated).
But what the hell, I'm still going to post some of
my holiday snaps. I reckon some of them are OK.
Naturally I ran out of space here, not to mention
the energy to keep on scanning old photos: It's so
much easier to upload the latest digital ones to flickr.
And I've a
few scrappy videos at YouTube as well.
